Eivind Landmark Tandrevold

Tandrevold heads the Dispute Resolution & Insurance department at Arntzen de Besche. He assists clients in managing risks and resolve disputes, primarily within the fields of contract, company, tort and insurance law. He has a proven and varied track record covering a wide range of business sectors. Eivind has extensive experience acting in complex professional liability disputes, transaction-related claims and insurance cases.

In addition, Eivind frequently assists clients with cross-border matters and is regularly instructed in cross-border litigation and international arbitration proceedings. He also advises litigation funders and claimants with disputes funding options and regulatory matters.

Eivind focuses on providing clear, no-nonsense advice. He is recognized by clients for being a persistent litigator, when necessary, but also for promoting resolution where possible. Eivind also brings a strong track record in using digital forensics and analytics tools to streamline dispute management processes.

Eivind serves on the Norwegian Bar Association’s Insurance Law Committee.

Eivind assisted an international private equity fund in arbitration proceedingsagainst W&I insurers. The matterrelated to the insurers’ liability for the seller’s breaches of accounting warranties.

Eivind assisted the claimant in one of Norway’s largest directors’ liability cases. The dispute concerned a substantial claim for compensation for operating the business at creditors’ expense and whether the claim was covered by the defendants’ insurance policy.

Eivind acted for a business unit of a Fortune 500 company in arbitration proceedings against a Norwegian counterpart, concerning a claim for damages following a major business combination.

Our colleagues Eivind Tandrevold and Jan Olav Aabø have authored the Norway chapter in the recently published The Third Party Litigation Funding Law Review (Second Ed.). The chapter surveys current developments in the Norwegian third-party funding landscape.
