Reputable rating agency Legal 500 has published its results for the 2023 edition. We consolidate our position as one of Norway's leading law firms and are ranked in 18 out of 20 areas of expertise.

We are proud to be top ranked in Norway on the recently published ranking of Chambers Europe. 23 of our lawyers are ranked as "Leaders in their field". Chambers is one of the most recognized rating agencies globally and ranks law firms and lawyers based on interviews with law firms' clients and partners, and also conducts its own research.

Yesterday, Chambers Global published its 2023 results, strengthening our individual performance and maintaining our positions at company level. The ranking covers a total of eight areas and we are ranked within seven.

We start the year by welcoming Alexander Plows as a new partner at Arntzen de Besche. As one of Norway’s leading lawyers in insurance and dispute resolution, he will help strengthen our team further. We are also proud to appoint Atle Stensrud as Specialist Counsel. This is a newly established position for employees with extensive expertise and long experience in their field. Stensrud has been part of our banking and financing team for more than 20 years, and is one of our key contributors to professional development at our firm.

The results from ITR reveals that Arntzen de Besche will advance to Tier 1 within Energy Tax. We also retain the strong placements from last year, where we are ranked in Tier 1 within Shipping and Transactional Tax, and Tier 2 within General Corporate Tax, Indirect Tax and Tax Controversy.

The results for IFLR 1000 2022 are clear. Arntzen de Besche is ranked in Tier 2 in all five categories, in addition to the fact that 12 lawyers have been individually ranked this year.

We are delighted to announce that our tax team has been shortlisted for ITR EMEA Tax Awards 2022 in two categories: "Norway Tax Firm of the Year" and "Norway Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year".

We obtain Tier 1 and Tier 2 ratings within 13 practice areas. 47 of our lawyers have been recognized within their respective areas of expertise.

The results are based on interviews with clients and partners, in addition to extensive in-depth research conducted by Chambers' researchers.

The results from this year’s edition of IFLR 1000’s annual survey was recently published. Arntzen de Besche is rated in Tier 2 within all five categories, and 11 of our lawyers are individually recognized. IFLR 1000 is one of the most recognized rating agencies, and have ratings of both law firms and attorneys who has an emphasis on financial and transactional services.

In the first half of 2021, the M&A and Capital Markets team enjoyed an increase in turnover of 40 percent, compared to the first half of the previous year. Solid recruitment of competent lawyers over the last three years has broadened the general expertise and industry knowledge required in a market with increasingly complex assignments. In addition to favourable financial results, the team has also caught the attention of international ranking agency IFLR1000, which recently ranked Arntzen de Besche in Tier 2, the second highest level, in the Capital Markets Debt and Capital Markets Equity categories.
