Vegard Magnus Sevaldsen
Vegard Magnus Sevaldsen practices in competition law, state aid and EU/EEA law. He also advises clients on matters relating to sanctions, export control and anti-money laundering.
He represents Norwegian and international companies in the full range of competition law matters, including merger notifications to the Norwegian Competition Authority, investigations, and complex issues concerning anti-competitive agreements and abuse of dominance. His experience covers sectors such as energy, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.
Vegard Magnus is also an examiner in competition law at the University of Bergen and the author of a student-oriented book on EEA law, to be published in autumn 2025.
He holds a Master of Laws from the University of Oslo and an LL.M. from the London School of Economics, where he wrote his dissertation “Homogeneity sans frontières? The legal significance of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights under EEA Law”. He has previously worked in the legal department of the EFTA Secretariat in Brussels.
