Jens Baumann Melberg
Melberg assists clients with transactions, financing, the establishment of joint ventures, contracts, restructuring and reorganisation processes, and shareholder conflicts. He has worked on national and international assignments.
His clients range from international investors, oil companies and private equity firms, through industrial enterprises and FinTech companies to local startups. Over a 15-year career, he has worked on cases in the majority of business sectors, with the emphasis on oil exploration and production, oil service, data centres, energy, technology and renewables.
Melberg seeks to ensure that our contribution is effective and expeditious, and creates value for the client. His aim is to create long-term relationships with his clients. He engages in the local business community, lectures regularly and has written several articles on company law.
With extensive experience of M&A and company law, Jens has led many transactions. He assists with pure transaction processes, financing and special transactions such as jointventures. In the field of venture capital, he assists Norwegian and international companies at an early stage. He has considerable experience of FinTech, including cryptocurrencies.
Jens has considerable experience of cases relating to disputes and conflicts, such as financial restructuring, shareholder conflicts, complex disputes covering several areas of law or several contested issues, renegotiations and mediation/arbitration both in and outside the courtroom.
