Skaug is partner in the Procurement and Competition law department.
Skaug primarily provides legal assistance in relation to European and Competition Law, especially mergers and acquisitions and establishment of joint ventures as well as in cases regarding anti-competitive collaboration and abuse of dominant position. She also provides legal assistance within general EEA-law and marketing law and public procurement.
She has previously worked as legal director at the Norwegian Competition Authority, the European Commission and a foreign law firm. She has been a member of several law committees, the most recently was NOU 2013:6 Law on unfair trading practices in the food supply chain.
Chambers & Partners’ sources refer to Skaug that she ”stands out for M&A related competition work“ and “[S]ources highlight her as a proactive and effective lawyer with a high analytical and working capacity”. Legal 500 highlight her skills and experience within the grocery sector and has also referred Skaug as “highly recommended“. In 2009 she was on Kapital’s list of “Norway’s 100 most powerful women”.
