Skaug is partner in the Procurement and Competition law department.
Skaug primarily provides legal assistance in relation to European and Competition Law, especially mergers and acquisitions and establishment of joint ventures as well as in cases regarding anti-competitive collaboration and abuse of dominant position. She also provides legal assistance within general EEA-law and marketing law and public procurement.
She has previously worked as legal director at the Norwegian Competition Authority, the European Commission and a foreign law firm. She has been a member of several law committees, the most recently was NOU 2013:6 Law on unfair trading practices in the food supply chain.
Skaug is ranked as a specialist within competition law in Chambers Europe, Legal 500 and Legal Experts 2013, among other places. Chambers & Partners describes her as a “proactive and effective” lawyer with “a high analytical and working capacity”. Legal 500 refers to her as “service-oriented and highly professional”. Skaug is ranked in the list “Woman in Business law”, 2018 – Expert Guides and Who’s Who Legal 2018. In 2009 she featured on Kapital’s list of Norway’s 100 most powerful women.
