Steen is part of the Employment Law department as well as the Banking, Finance and Insolvency department. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Norway.
He primarily provides legal assistance within the finance, pension and insurance sector and has extensive experience as a legal advisor for companies, non-profit organisations and the public sector.
Mr. Steen has participated in an extensive production of several official reports relating to new legislation within the Norwegian finance, insurance and manufacturing sectors. He has been the CEO in The Joint Scheme for contractual pension (Fellesordningen for AFP), The severance pay agreement (Sluttvederlagsordningen) and the joint office for The Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions (LO)/The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), as well as Arntzen de Besche.
Chambers & Partners’ sources stated the following about Mr. Steen "is really excellent for pensions", and that he “has in-depth understanding of the regulations and is an excellent guy to work with; his advice goes beyond what I expect”. According to Legal 500's banking and finance ranking Steen is "a notable regulatory specialist".
