Stian Heimdal is part of the Construction department.
He is specialised in construction law and has extensive experience with contract negotiations, project support, risk management and dispute resolution in the building and construction industry. This also includes various interaction models.
Heimdal has previously been a lawyer at AF Gruppen and Veidekke Entreprenør. Consequently, he has broad experience with providing legal assistance to large, complex building and construction projects. This work experience has also provided him with excellent insight into the industry’s technical and commercial challenges.
Heimdal has in-depth knowledge about the description systems used in Norwegian building and construction projects, i.e. NS 3420 and Handbook R761/R762 (process code). Furthermore, he possesses particular expertise on the professional liability of consulting engineers and has written an article on engineering errors. The article was published in Tidsskrift for Eiendomsrett (journal for property law).
He has considerable experience of dispute resolution and litigation, and has argued cases before the district court and the court of appeal. Heimdal is also an experienced lecturer and gives regular lectures to members of the building and construction industry.
