Fagervold is partner in the Dispute resolution and litigation department in Arntzen de Besche.
Fagervold has significant experience with commercial negotiation, dispute resolution and litigation in connection with complex contracts and projects, often cross-border.
His dispute resolution and litigation experience covers a wide range of complex contractual disputes. He has extensive experience with construction disputes, especially within offshore construction, but has also represented clients in contratual disputes within a broad range of sectors. He has particular focus on alternative dispute resolution, and recently headed the working group preparing new mediation rules for the Nordic Offshore and Maritime Arbitration Association. He recently served as an appellate court judge.
Fagervold frequently represents domestic and international clients in contractual negotiations. As a previous in house-counsel, he is focused on safeguarding the totality of the contract, including the commercial and technical aspects, which otherwise are often the source of future disputes. He has particular experience with construction contracts, especially offshore construction, and a wide ranger of other offshore and energy related contracts.
Fagervold has lectured contract law at the University of Oslo where he also was a junior research fellow at the Department of Private Law.
