Hagelund is part of the firm’s European and Competition Law Group, and primarily works with competition law, EU / EEA law and public procurement.
Hagelund wrote his master's thesis on a topic within the areas of competition law and corporate law. The master thesis had the title “The Competition Law’s Regulation of Information Exchange in Mergers and Acquisitions”. The thesis mainly deals with the legality of exchanging commercially sensitive information between companies in a merger and acquisition (M&A) process.
Hagelund took the special subjects International Business, Trade, and Tax Law at Bond University, in addition to EU Competition Law and Construction Law as part of his Master's degree in Norway. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science in which he specialized in International Political Economy.
