Janne Riveland Bydal is part of the Dispute Resolution, Litigation and Construction departments, and has previously been part of the Procurement and Competition Law department.
She provides general legal assistance within contract law. In addition, she has experience of public law as well as planning and building law, and assists clients with various legal issues relating to compulsory purchase and zoning processes.
Riveland Bydal has comprehensive and broad experience within dispute resolution before the courts. As a deputy judge in Oslo District Court, she has prepared, administered and issued verdicts in a great number of court cases within a wide range of legal areas. She assists clients in all phases of a legal dispute and has experience of non-judicial mediation, provisional security and court-sponsored mediation. She also has experience of the American legal system through a position as a legal intern in Washington DC.
Riveland Bydal has experience of employment law from a sizeable government-owned public company. Her master thesis is titled “Right to Employment when Returning from Prison to Society”.
