Fyrileiv is part of the Construction department.
He provides legal assistance to public and private sector clients related to business law and dispute resolution, primarily within the fields of construction and contract law, real estate and public procurement.
In recent years, Fyrileiv has been particularly focused on consultancy and dispute resolution associated with land based construction and real estate, including assistance in development projects, contract drafting as well as counselling related to interpretation of contracts and liability for defects in projects. Such assistance includes for example counselling at an early stage in order to avoid or lower the conflict level, including quality assurance of assessments and grounds for decision-making in close dialogue with the customer.
Fyrileiv also regularly argues cases before the courts, and he has extensive experience with negotiations and mediation in order to solve disputes out-of-court. He has over the past years argued a number of cases before the District Court and the Court of Appeal on various contract law topics. Fyrileiv also has extensive experience with judicial assessment before the courts in relation to determination of compensation relating to compulsory purchase.
Fyrileiv previously worked as Assistant Director General at the Ministry of Defence, and has extensive and broad experience from public administration and research work, as well as management support. He also has extensive experience from project management and negotiations in development and procurement projects at home and abroad, including the purchase of new fighter jets for the Norwegian Armed Forces. Fyrileiv assists in all phases of public procurement, and has for many years worked with public procurement projects.
Fyrileiv leads the collaboration between Arntzen de Besche and the Chamber of Commerce in the region of Værnes, Verdal business forum, Chamber of Commerce in Levanger and Steinkjer business forum.
In recent years, Fyrileiv has provided counselling on law of property, including springing powers of attorney, wills and planning of generational changes, as well as advising on inheritance and probate.
Since 2019, Fyrileiv has been the leader of the Ministry of Defence's appeal board for the Norwegian Defence University College.
