In respect of M&A transactions, Rødland has since 2001 advised on both asset transactions and corporate transactions, and he has acted as lead counsel on many of the most substantial and most complex deals on the NCS over the last years, including the Edison, Hess, E.ON and Marathon divestments and various acquisition projects.

In respect of commercial contracts and regulation, Rødland regularly advises on complex negotiation processes, including third party access negotiations on the NCS representing lead negotiators. Rødland also has extensive experience in advising companies and contractors on construction and oil service contracts, which includes final settlement discussions and dispute resolution.

Rødland represents companies in (international) arbitration, before ordinary courts, including actions for temporary injunctions, and in administrative proceedings. In the most recent years, he has represented clients in disputes on interpretation of sales & purchase agreements, rig contracts, agreements on third party access, and various construction contracts.

Rødland also advises and represents companies in connection with business development and management, including at the execution of development projects, purchase and sale of assets, equity and external financing and counselling regarding corporate issues and various business models.

The legal rating agency The Legal 500's sources state that "Anders Rødland is a unique individual, always ready to assist and provides practical information immediately relevant for the company rather than academic legalese" and that "he has always been available and very co-operative when we have needed legal support. His strength is that he is able to understand our issues due to his experience in the oil & gas area, and help to solve these almost as an integral part of our organisation.

Rødland is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association’s committee for Energy Law, Hydropower, Oil and Gas.
