Arntzen de Besche assists National Grid in connection with negotiating contracts relating to the world’s largest interconnector

An ownership agreement between National Grid and Statnett was signed 26th March to build the world’s largest interconnector. The interconnector will connect the Norwegian and UK electricity markets directly for the first time.

The interconnector is 730 kilometers and run from Blyth in UK to Kvilldal in Rogaland, Norway. The project is planned to be completed in 2021.

National Grid is a British electricity and gas utility company listed on London Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange. The corporation has approximately 24 000 employees and experienced a revenue of GBP 14.8 billion in 2014.
