Newsletter - Arntzen de Besche congratulates Lundin on Edvard Grieg start up

Lundin is the operator of the Edvard Grieg field, which commenced production on 28 November 2015. Arntzen de Besche has advised Lundin during all phases of the project.

Edvard Grieg is Lundin Norway AS’ first operated platform on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The Edvard Grieg field (PL 338) is located on the Utsira High area (central North Sea), about 180 kilometres west of Stavanger. The field was discovered in 2007. Expected recoverable resources from Edvard Grieg total 29 million standard cubic metres of oil equivalents (182 million bbls o.e.), mainly oil.

The Edvard Grieg field has been developed with a steel jacket platform resting on the seabed. The topside includes a process facility, utility module and living quarters. The oil is transported by pipeline (EGOP) to the Grane oil pipeline and on to the Sture terminal north of Bergen. The gas is transported in a separate pipeline (UHGP), which is tied in to the pipeline network on the UK side (SAGE).

Arntzen de Besche has advised Lundin Norway AS since 2004, and has advised on all legal matters during all phases of the Edvard Grieg project.
