New partner in our Oil, Offshore and Energy department

We are pleased to announce that Tonje P. Gormley is promoted to partner in Arntzen de Besche as of May 1, 2017. Gormley started in Arntzen de Besche in 2006 and has specialist expertise in oil and energy issues. She has extensive experience in advising oil companies and authorities in Norway and internationally. She has experience from Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Gormley has been seconded to oil company Lundin and has background from HSE work on the Norwegian continental shelf from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. She has extensive experience as legal adviser to players on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Gormley has been a key lawyer in Arntzen de Besche's assistance to the authorities of petroleum producing countries and has assists in a number of countries on issues relating to drafting of legislation, contract negotiations, structure, supervision and regulation of the oil and gas sector. Currently, Gormley is project manager in relation to our work for the Government of Mozambique, a very comprehensive assignment involving many of Arntzen de Besche's lawyers.
