New Litigation Partner in Arntzen de Besche

We are pleased to announce that Erlend Haaskjold joined Arntzen de Besche as partner from 13 August 2012.

Erlend Haaskjold is an experienced litigator with a broad commercial practice. Prior to joining Arntzen de Besche, he was at the Thommessen law firm in Oslo, and from 1999 to 2009 he was attorney-at-law at the Office of the Attorney-General (Civil Affairs). He has also been a Deputy Judge at the Stjør- and Verdal District Court.

Haaskjold has argued an impressive number of civil cases at all levels in the Norwegian courts, and has represented Norway several times before the European Court of Human Rights. In addition to his litigation practice, he frequently acts as arbitrator in commercial disputes.

Haaskjold's main area of expertise is within Banking & Finance, Insolvency, and Commercial Property. He is particularly familiar with the Real estate, Finance/Bank/Insurance and Media industry sectors. Haaskjold was Admitted to the Supreme Court in 2003 and is author of the publication “Kontraksforpliktelser” (translated: “Contractual obligations”).
